■金曜日からニューヨークへ行き三日間で、Whitney Biennial 2006, Armory Show, ラウシェンバーグ展（メトロポリタン美術館）,DIVA(Digital & Video Art Fair）, David Smith（グッゲンハイム美術館）を観る。特にMETでの"Robert Rauschenberg: Combines"については少しまとまって書く事になるかと思います。ホイットニーバイエニアルに関しても、機会があればどこかで書くべきかもしれません、良くも悪くもニューヨークのアートシーンをヴィヴィッドに反映していると思うので。

ニューヨーク滞在中、キュレーター渡辺真也氏の家に泊めてもらっていたのだが、彼特有の国家問題の捉え方を通じて「じゃあ、これはどうなの？」「あれはどうなの？」と次々に問いを投げかけられるので、常に頭を回転させながら互いに答え（というか、それは同時に別の問いだったりするのだが）を探りながら対話を続けるという感じで、ハードな時間を強いられつつも有意義に過ごす事が出来た気がする。

Went to NY, I looked around Whitney Biennial 2006, Armory Show, Robert Rauschenberg: Combines at MET, DIVA(Digital & Video Art Fair）, and David Smith at Guggenheim for three days in this weekend. Especially, Rauschenberg's is impressive so I'll write about it somewhere a little bit seriously. Also, as to Whitney Biennial, I might write something if I can get such a oppotunity. For better or worse it reflects vividly the current situation of NY's art world.

While visiting NY, I had stayed at Shinya Watanabe's house. In the meantime, he fired lots of questions like "What about this?""How about that?" on the basis of his particular thought regarding Nation-State, so I was required to use my brains a lot and we kept on trying to seek answers out each other(rather, the answers are another questions) . Although it was quite hard, I could spend beneficial time.
