■ハーバードにてウォン・カーウァイ「花様年華 IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE」（２０００）。なんだかずいぶん昔に見た気がするけど、まだ五年前か。めちゃめちゃに巧い。カメラワークが時に、あまりにも技巧的にみえすぎるくらいだ。全体を通じて空間の狭さが強調され、その狭間を練るようにカメラがゆったりと水平移動を繰り返す。その引き延ばされた時間に垂直的な切断面を加えるのは、動作の部分的なアップを断片的に繋いだシークエンス。ラストのカンボジアとか、ほとんど「地球遺産」系のテレビ番組スレスレに、しかし映画として保たせる。

Wong Kar Wai's "In the Mood for Love"(2000) at Harvard. I feel I saw quite a long time ago though, It's still 5 years ago or something. Amazingly skillful. Camera work is supposed to be almost too elaborate. Throughout the movie "narrowness" is emphasized, and the camera hover in the narrow path. Such a stretched time was severed vertically by the sequence composed of movement's fragments.
